He is finally here! Ashley gave birth to her beautiful baby Elias today at 2:55 p.m. He weighed in at 6.5 lbs. and was 19 inches long. He is absolutely gorgeous! Ashley was amazing going through the entire process. She had to endure a lengthy labor, but braved it like a warrior! John was like a pro in the birthing room counting for Ashley during her contractions & pushing, and he even cut the umbilical cord. I also have to say how incredibly thankful I am to Mary and Carl for letting me stay in there home so I could be there for Ashley during her labor and delivery of Elias. Also, Rachel and Ben were like a godsend as they watched Avery for me while I attended to Ashley. I was her "servant" as she so lovingly likes to put it, haha! Thank you soooo much Rachel... you are super awesome and I'm so glad I got to see you during my trip :) Ok, so I will add more photos to facebook soon of little Elias. Right now I'm definitely off to bed... and I'm sleeping in tomorrow!

holy cow steph why did you not have your camera when i had ella!!!!! I love the pics they are awesome! seriously i really love them so priceless!!!!!!! it is very rare that you have a profession takin pics right when a baby comes out of ya. I would tak the pics myself if I did not feel like crap after delivering.
ha ha. they are great and he is soooo cute! he looks like ash. especially through the eyes.
Thanks Weena :) Yeah that would have been nice to take pics of Ella in the hospital. I agree that he looks like Ashley in the eyes... really I think he looks like her brother, PJ. Love you!
I'm starting to cry. I'm not sure if it's because he is soooo adorable and such a little miracle, and because you and John are a mommy and daddy, or if it's because I know that I have to go through the whole labor process again so soon.
Either way, I am so excited and so happy for you. He's finally here! You can heal, get comfortable again, and now just enjoy cuddling with him in your arms and not your belly. Congrats!
You were so amazing Steph...helping Ashley, taking pictures, you really did it all. She is very lucky to have you around! Not to mention, I'm lucky you were around to hang with!!!
Oh Rach... I just wish we could have actually been able to hang out more... get girly movies and watch them on the couch with a bunch of blankets and pillows!! Maybe next time :)
And Jacque you are so cute... let me know if you want me to take some pictures of your new baby when he/she gets here :)
